Membership Procedure
 

To become a member of MA Medical Malpractice Reinsurance Plan (i.e. the Plan), a company should send a letter of request on company letterhead to:

95A Turnpike Rd, 1st floor
Westborough, MA  01581.

The request should contain the following information.

• Statement that company is in the process of becoming licensed in the state of MA and is requesting to become a member of the Plan
• NAIC code
• Contact (individual and/or department) to receive membership fee invoice (see below)

Letters confirming membership will be sent to the Division of Insurance and Company.

Membership Fee Structure

Members are sent a Statement/Invoice for an annual membership fee in June of each year.  The current fee structure is $200 per year for members who do not write medical malpractice insurance and $500 per year for members who do report Premiums Written in Business Line 11 (Medical Malpractice) in their Annual Statement to the Division of Insurance.
